Ordinary Days
Hi everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Recently I saw an image on social media of a man with a small child and the words, “We only get a handful of years to watch them be little. Let’s not spend them rushing.” I’m going to guess most people who now have grown children would tell young parents this same thing. Slow down. Laugh with your kids and spouse. Take walks. Be silly. Be available. Put down your devices. Ordinary days can be extraordinary days.
Obviously, Mark’s and my children are now adults so we’re way past this stage, but I remember when our kids were young, some days were wonderful, some days were stressful, and some were just ordinary days. What if we start looking at ordinary as something beautiful and special? What if we appreciate the ordinary days? They can become extraordinary days simply because we’ve shared love, hope, and faith with one another. Live the way you want to be remembered!
