Hi everyone! I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Today is our final look at the Life Story Editing resource you can receive for free by emailing us at MyHeartSongInc@gmail.com. Today is a summary of the five steps we’ve discussed. You can find each step in more detail in previous videos. With intentionality, we can move forward by taking the next right step. One step at a time.
Step 1, is Cut, the What Not-To-Do list. By examining how you’ve been living life, this step helps identify things in your life that need to be removed. Most of us have SOMETHING on our plate that doesn’t belong there.
Step 2 is Insert. After cutting, you’ll have created space for significant things. You’ll be able to insert interests you find fulfilling, things that bring you joy.
Step 3, Revise. is about reviewing your roles and relationships. A role is a function you complete. A relationship is the connection you have with a person; the tie that binds you together.
Step 4, Create Margin, is about taking some deep breaths and recalling the goodness of the day you just lived. This renews and restores your spirit which encourages you to create and look for the goodness the next day.
Step 5, Invest, involves creating a personal Compass Statement, a life-guiding statement for living your most meaningful life. Your Compass Statement keeps you aware of the direction you’re heading. It reminds you to make adjustments to keep you moving forward with purpose. Why not schedule a time in the near future to create your free statement?
In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord declares, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Life Story Editing is a resource to help you recognize how the Lord has made you and what brings you joy and satisfaction. He not only has plans for you now and in the future, but he wants you to flourish while you’re engaged in those plans. And along with the plans, he wants to give you hope. And we all need hope.
This is the Word of the Lord. Thanks for listening. See you next week.
