Hi everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Some of you shared your One Word in the comments on our video post of January 4th. We enjoyed seeing them and sending keychains with your words inscribed on them. My One Word for 2021 is DWELL. Choosing this word is to remind me to dwell with the Lord, dwell on the positive, and dwell in the here-and-now – to live the way I want to be remembered.

Last week we discussed that changing what goes into our minds changes what we are and where we are. That thought is in sync with this popular quote, “Your vibe attracts your tribe.” Where any of us DWELL is what we’ll gain. If we hang out and interact with optimistic people, listen to music with upbeat lyrics, and read constructive articles and books, our minds will think positively. Most likely we will radiate a vibe that attracts people who are uplifting. 

The foundation of transforming our minds and having vibes that attract our tribes is love. 1 John 4:16 says, “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” Another version uses the word DWELL. “Whoever dwells in love dwells in God and God in them.” Do we want to transform our minds? Let’s DWELL in God! Do we want to have a vibe that attracts an optimistic tribe? Let’s DWELL in God. His love will fill us to the brim and overflow.
