Hi everyone! I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Did you know that in January Betty White had her 99thbirthday? Most of us remember her as Rose on the Golden Girls TV sitcom, among many others, including numerous game shows. Recently Prevention.com interviewed her and published an article titled, Betty White, 99, Shares Her Secrets for a Long Life (and Staying Young at Heart). A couple of her comments caught my eye and heart. She said, “Enjoy life. Accentuate the positive, not the negative. …It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.”
Betty also believes it’s important to pursue your passions. She says, “Don’t focus everything on you—that wears out pretty fast. It’s not hard to find things you’re interested in, but enjoy them, and indulge them and, I think that keeps you on your toes.”
You and I may not live to be 99, but incorporating some of Betty’s principles can bring goodness to our lives. Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” I think Betty would wholeheartedly agree with Heart-Song prompting you to live the way you want to be remembered! Obviously, Betty hasn’t met with us at Heart-Song, but it seems she’s determined to live her most meaningful life.
And now?… message us from this page to schedule a time to create a personal life-guiding statement, a Life Compass Statement, that directs the next steps for living YOUR most meaningful life. After you do that, it’s up to you to go to Prevention.com to find out Betty’s favorite foods. Afterall, she wants to keep you on your toes. Thanks for being here. See you next week
