Hi everyone! I’m Sherry Douglas, co-founder of Heart-Song. Last week we discussed the Life Story Editing resource Heart-Song offers. This resource can start moving you in the direction of living your most meaningful life. It doesn’t mean each day will be all sunshine, of course, but it does mean you’ll have made some decisions that keep moving you in the direction that’s right for you.
We started with Step 1: Cut, which we call the What Not-To-Do list. This particular step helps you identify things in your life that need to be removed. We all have some of those, right?
Step 2, where we’ll focus today, is Insert. After cutting, you’ll find you have created space for good and significant things you want in your life. You’ll be able to insert dreams, positive people, hobbies, or interests you find fulfilling or feel called to embrace. Think of all the possibilities!
Do you find you keep thinking about a specific cause? Do you feel drawn to help a specific group of people? If you were able to do one thing in life without regards to money, time, or employment, what would it be? What can you insert in your life to fuel this interest that brings you joy?
We are so pleased to deliver directly to your inbox Step 2: Insert of the Life Story Editing. Please request it at MyHeartSongInc@gmail.com. If you haven’t yet requested Step 1, we’ll send it, also. We hope this resource makes your heart beat a little faster as you explore new possibilities or renew pieces of old dreams.
Explore your heart this week to define those things that bring you joy. This is a process. It may even be a marathon; it’s definitely not a sprint. Focus on I Corinthians 10:31, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Cutting things and inserting new things into our lives isn’t just for our benefit. It is to bring glory to God. In his goodness, along the journey, he allows us to experience joy. This is the word of the Lord. See you next time.
