LOVE

Hi everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. We continue to be in Advent, a time
of preparation for the birth of Jesus. This week the focus is LOVE. The birth of Jesus is
often described as God’s light entering the world—a light meant for everyone. This
moment represents God stepping into human darkness with great LOVE. A well-known
Scripture, John 3:16, says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son,” which shows that this light was given freely and offered to all - without exception.
The beautiful image of light breaking through darkness is so meaningful. It speaks of
HOPE during hard seasons, PEACE in the midst of chaos, JOY when life takes us down
lonely roads, and LOVE for God and others. The story of Jesus’ birth invites us all to
notice the light around us—and to spread that light — by choosing compassion,
humility, care for others and above all else, choosing to LOVE! Merry Christmas,
