HOPE
Hi everyone! I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Yesterday was the first day of Advent, which
is a time of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus. Until Christmas, each week has a
different focus with the first one being HOPE. I’ve chosen a few Scriptures to share with you
about HOPE. If we trust the truth of these Scriptures, they encourage us to live the way we want
to be remembered.
For those who need strength: Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their
strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk
and not be faint.”
For those who need assurance of their future: Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for
you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a
future.”
For those who need joy, peace, and hope: Romans 15:13 – “May the God of HOPE fill you with
all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the
Holy Spirit.”
For those experiencing trials: Romans 12:12 - “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be
constant in prayer.”
For those who need encouragement to trust in God’s promises: Hebrews 11:1 - “Now faith is the
assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
May the HOPE of the Lord fill you completely as we wait to celebrate Jesus!
Live the way you want to be remembered.
