Words to SPARK your Heart-Song – Episode #257

Dreams

Hi everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. We all have dreams that we
either act upon or sit upon. Sometimes we’re eager to share our dream with
others, but we need to remember when we do, others will often have
opinions—some helpful, others not so much. It’s natural for people to see your
vision through the lens of their own fears, experiences, or limitations. Listening
respectfully doesn’t mean you have to accept or act on every suggestion. Take
time to consider their input with gratitude, but filter it through your own sense of
purpose and calling. Remember, your dream was given to you, not to them, so
it’s okay if they don’t fully understand it.
Responding with kindness keeps relationships healthy, even when you choose a
different path. A simple “Thank you for your thoughts, I’ll think about that”
acknowledges their concern without inviting debate. You can appreciate
someone’s perspective while still trusting your inner direction. Standing firm in
your vision isn’t stubbornness—it’s stewardship. Your dreams require your voice,
your heart, and your courage, and it’s both respectful and wise to honor that
responsibility while treating others with grace.
A great way to get a jumpstart your dream is to apply for the Dare to Dream
Dollars offered by Heart-Song. You can find the link to the application in the
comments. It’s due by Saturday, November 8! Live the way you want to be
remembered!
