Reunion
Hi everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. A week ago, Mark and I and
about 100 other people celebrated our 50th class reunion - the class of ‘75! We
all had so much fun reconnecting, laughing, and sharing stories that brought
back wonderful memories. It was amazing to see how quickly memories came
flooding back—walking the halls, football & basketball games, hanging out with
friends after school, and the dances at The Rec, our local teen center that is still
going strong! Faces and hair may have changed - just a little - but the spirit and
joy of being together felt the same as it did all those years ago.
This milestone is more than just looking back—it’s celebrating the journey we’ve
all taken since graduation. Some paths led near, others far, but coming together
was priceless! It was a time to swap stories, honor friendships, remember
classmates we miss, and be grateful for the gift of gathering once again. We paid
tribute to our classmates who have passed on before us. Our first classmate,
Greg, died when we were in junior high and our latest, Anne, only a few weeks
ago. Seeing all of their beautiful photos together was overwhelming and
encouraged me to remind you even more to LIVE THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE
REMEMBERED!
