Spring is Lifegiving

Hi everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Within a few days, we’ll have the first day of
Spring! Every year it seems this day takes a little longer to dawn. Of course, that’s just me being
impatient for the warmth of the sun and the colors of the beautiful flowers. Last week I shared
that Mark’s mother had passed away on March 1st. Thank you for your heartfelt messages.
Your kindness has been uplifting and inspiring. Her 90 th birthday would have been on March 20,
the first day of Spring. Every year she laughingly teased us that she was the first blooming idiot.
With her new life with the Lord being of such significance right now, this year Spring has an
even more special meaning to us.
As the plants and flowers begin to emerge, the grass becomes greener, and we experience
more daylight, will you join me in being people of gratitude? Do you feel the way Spring is
lifegiving? It makes me feel as if anything is possible. It also makes me feel thankful for all the
Lord has done in my family’s lives.
Psalm 136:1 says, “Give thanks to the Lord for he is good. His love endures forever.”
