Generosity

Hi everyone! I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Generosity has been on my heart recently. I see many go out of their way to support others. It may be financial, but I also see generosity in people through their encouraging words and actions, walking alongside someone in difficult situations, and many other avenues of being the best version of themselves to help and serve others.

There is a woman in my life who has been all of those things and more. She regularly writes notes of encouragement, has cookies in her freezer to take to people, gives monetarily to and serves in organizations she believes in. What makes her even more unique is that she doesn’t desire any recognition for this generosity. She knows her life has a calling to be who she is, and that is reward enough.

She’s one of my heroes. Because she models generosity, I am inspired to also be generous!

Proverbs 11:25 says, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” What a beautiful encouragement to all generous people in the world! You will prosper and you will be refreshed!
