Uncertainty
Hi everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Bob Goff – author, speaker, and founder of the organization Love Does – says, “Embrace uncertainty. Some of the most beautiful chapters in our lives won’t have a title until much later.”
We live in uncertainty, but that isn’t a new phenomenon. However old you are, you’ve lived long enough to know of many national and world tragedies and events that create uncertain times. You also have your own personal heartbreaks that mark life “before” and “after,” that create massive uncertainty.
Life is ALWAYS uncertain, but here we all are. What would it look like if, as Bob Goff says, we embrace uncertainty? That means we continue to hope throughout the uncertainty. If we’re people of faith or we’re searching for a way to live differently than we currently do, we can look for ways God is working even in the midst of our grief or in the midst of our doubt or insecurity.
Perhaps this Scripture in Romans 8:38-39 will be a support to you in a time of uncertainty as it has for me. Apostle Paul says, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” In uncertain times, we can remember that the love of God prevails. We can also remember that “some of the most beautiful chapters in our lives won’t have a title until much later.”
Live the way you want to be remembered!
Veterans, we sincerely thank you for your service!
