“It always seems impossible until it is done.”
Hi everyone! I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Nelson Mandela devoted his life to dismantling the cruel and unjust structure of racial segregation that troubled South Africa. He has numerous quotes that demonstrate his wisdom and knowledge of the human heart and motivations. One of his well-known quotes is, “It always seems impossible until it is done.” This powerful statement captures the heart of individual spirit, resolve, and the potential of overcoming what seem to be impossible difficulties. Mr. Mandela’s life is an example of a persistent attitude of determination, encouraging many generations to accomplish that which was thought to be impossible. This week, let’s take time to contemplate this quote, allowing it to inspire us to question our personal beliefs about what is attainable in our own lives. Mr. Mandela’s wise words can give us momentum when challenges seem to be insurmountable. Let’s remember, nothing worth doing is easy. Mr. Mandela suffered in prison for 27 years, but during that time continued his quest of justice. Apartheid ended in South Africa about 25 years ago due to his persistence. What are you undertaking that needs tenacity and perseverance? Let’s be careful not to compare our ambitions with that of Mr. Mandela. If all of us did that, many wonderful services and goals would never be accomplished. Take the risk. Dig deep. Resolve to keep going. “It always seems impossible until it is done.” In the last couple of videos, you were invited to attend the True North event at Heart-Song to create a personal Vision Board. We have had a wonderful response and have found it necessary to close reservations for this gathering. Stay tuned, though, because we’ll offer this event again in the fall!
Live the way you want to be remembered!
