Discovering the truth about ourselves is a lifetime’s work.
Hey everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Fred Rogers, better known as Mr. Rogers, taught children and adults about being a person of good character. Soft-spoken, patient, and affirming, he encouraged his viewers to be the same. He also encouraged people to explore to get to know themselves. He said, “Discovering the truth about ourselves is a lifetime’s work, but it’s worth the effort.” He believed each and every person was special and unique, and was worthy of being known – really known.
At Heart-Song we also believe that knowing ourselves, the essence of who we are, is fundamental to our personal growth and development. How can we expect others to know us, if we haven’t taken the time and made the effort to discover the truth of who we truly are? We have a simple way for you to start your exploration. We invite you to make an appointment to create your Life Compass Statement – a personal statement that directs the next steps for living your most meaningful life. This statement is about who you want to be and how you want to be remembered. In an interactive process, we walk with you through a few important steps that you then utilize to create your statement. This process has worked for teens through senior adults. You don’t have to consider yourself to be creative. You don’t have to be a writer. And, this isn’t counseling. All you have to do is to reach out to make an appointment. It’s worth your effort!
Live the way you want to be remembered!
