Words to SPARK your Heart-Song – Episode #147

April 24, 2023

Celebrating Heart-Song's 10th birthday.

Hey everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. We had such a wonderful party celebrating Heart-Song’s 10th birthday! Many of you celebrated with us, ate delicious food provided by Mary Nilsen, and enjoyed the space of We Love Birthday Parties! It was inspiring that guests were happy to renew acquaintances and also make new friends.

The celebration started out with my husband, Mark, thanking the Lord for his blessings upon Heart-Song, praying for the person that would receive the Dare to Dream Dollars award, and that our day would be special. Was it ever! We were showered with love the whole afternoon!

Shelly Calvert shared that she had met with Christin and me several times throughout the beginning of her organization, We Love Birthday Parties! She, her family, and volunteers have built a truly amazing not-for-profit. You can find a link in the comments to learn more. We encourage you to see the space and support the awesome work they are doing.

Last year’s Dare to Dream Dollars winner, Katie Gascho and her husband, Sam, were present to share the tremendous accomplishments of her project. They used the $300 award to go toward creating a podcast called, “A Time to Tell with Sam and Katie.” The podcast’s goal is to communicate to those suffering through heartache or loss that they are not alone. The podcast has reached 21 states and 5 countries since the first episode in September 2022. Check it out. There is encouragement for everyone.

We had the privilege of awarding this year’s Dare to Dream Dollars to Cameron Myers, the Director of The Barn Youth Center that is located in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. Keep watching our Facebook page because he will share about his project soon!

We were also astounded at the generosity of many of you for giving Heart-Song birthday gifts! And finally, a huge thank you to Joe Laber of A Cup of Joe Media who was our emcee. Joe has been instrumental in the life of Heart-Song, and we’re so appreciative of him!

We hope the Dare to Dream Dollars initiative encourages you to keep dreaming! Live the way you want to be remembered!
