How will you reflect beauty and wonder?
Hi everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Two weeks ago, I shared a quote by John Burroughs I saw at Brukner Nature Center that says, “The longer I live, the more my mind dwells on the beauty and wonder of the world.” While my husband and I visited Brukner with our granddaughters, we had a mission of sharing the exceptional art by our friend Patty Brown that is being displayed there. She is living out this quote!
Patty’s spring exhibit, “Color Field Florals,” will be on display through June 18. If you live locally or are able to make the drive, I highly encourage you to visit this exhibit of beauty and wonder. She paints with acrylics on wood panels in a unique and surprising way. All paintings are for sale and a portion of each sale supports Brukner.
Because Patty sees beauty and wonder in the world, she also worked alongside us at Heart-Song to provide adopted children and their families two special works of art created just for them to celebrate the special life they will share together. Patty also provides Heart-Song unique gifts that we give to our participants when they come to create their Life Compass Statements.
Most of us aren’t painters like Patty, but we all have something to offer the world, our communities, or our families. How will you reflect beauty and wonder? It’s going to be different for each one of us, but it’s our honor and responsibility to offer it to the world. Enjoy being you!
Live the way you want to be remembered. See you next time.
