Each of you is unique.
Hey everyone. I’m Sherry Douglas with Heart-Song. Recently we had the privilege of visiting our grandchildren that live out of state. It was so fun seeing them in their own world navigating sports, church, and being with friends. Each one is so unique and beautifully designed. If you have grandchildren, you understand why my heart is so full.
The uniqueness of each individual, though, isn’t only true for children and teens. Each of you is unique, too, created with specific interests, gifts, and talents. It’s truly amazing that though there are about 8 billion people in the world, every single one is distinctive.
Let’s take some time this week to reflect objectively on our inmost being. Most of us are quick to beat ourselves up about qualities we consider negative. And of course, we all have some traits that are unattractive, not helpful, or don’t put us in a position for growth. But, we also all have beautiful traits that if we focus upon cultivating them, they will outshine and even help dispel the unhealthy ones. As we do so, let’s remember that Scripture urges us to be thankful to our Creator. Psalm 139:14 says, “I will give thanks to you because I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Your works are miraculous, and my soul is fully aware of this.”
May you enjoy your week, laughing often, being kind to all, and living the way you want to be remembered! See you next time.
